Schauenburg Systems Teams Up With Kukhula Global Projects for Electronics Training

Schauenburg Electronics Training

The year is closing off with an exciting new learning journey for 25 selected delegates from all regions where they have been placed on the National Certificate in Electronics NQF3.

The programme is designed to provide learners with foundational, basic knowledge and experiential skills to be able to perform in the electronics field.  Learners are situated in regions throughout South Africa and for the first time at Schauenburg, they are joining the training with a blended approach of online and face-to-face sessions with Kukhula Global Projects.

This approach allows us to include learners from regions that were previously excluded, providing a wider opportunity for the organisation. "Schauenburg has teamed up with Kukhula where 25 selected employees are embarking on the National Certificate in Electronics NQF3 program. By combining online and face-to-face sessions with Kukhula Global Projects, we're not only enhancing the learning experience but also expanding opportunities for our learners across South Africa. This initiative exemplifies our commitment to nurturing talent and driving progress in the electronics field." - Dieter Kovar, CEO of Schauenburg International – Africa Group.

Electronics is a scientific and engineering discipline that studies and applies the principles of physics to design, create, and operate devices that manipulate electrons and other electrically charged particles. Electronics have a profound impact on various aspects of modern society and culture, such as communication, entertainment, education, health care, industry, and security. The main driving force behind the advancement of electronics is the semiconductor industry, which produces the basic materials and components for electronic devices and circuits. Electronics is a specialised field that requires specific knowledge and skills to be able to operate productively.

Learners began the program on the 1st of September 2023 and will spend the next year undergoing training. During the introduction, learners also learnt how important Schauenburg’s Vision, Mission and Core Values are, and how to integrate these into their personal goals and development. After the second session, learners expressed, “The session very beneficial as it provided clear insights into the tools we'll be working with, offering guidance on their proper usage and maintenance. Additionally, it enhanced our safety knowledge for our operations at production sites." All learners engage in hands-on practical applications and are required to apply the skills they acquire during training in their respective workplaces.

Once they have been deemed competent the learners will be able to: Use mathematical concepts and processes to solve personal and electronics-related problems. Apply elementary principles of electricity and electronics. Demonstrate knowledge of electronic components, instruments, and test equipment (hand skills). Assemble cables, harness, and printed circuit/wiring boards. Apply safety measures in an electronics environment   We extend our best wishes to all learners for a successful learning journey and practical application, eagerly anticipating the positive impact they will make within Schauenburg.
