Mayoral Member for Economic Growth at the City of Cape Town Visit SEED Abundance Centre

Seed Abundance Center Farming Agriculture Business Development

Alderman James Vos (Mayoral Member for Economic Growth at the City of Cape Town), came through to visit us at SEED Abundance Centre in Mitchells Plain to see how unemployed Youth are taught Mixed Farming and Entrepreneurial skills.

Shannon Gueffroy-Fourie, our National L&D Specialist, Leelyn Management Director Kurt Joshua and Mayoral Committee Member Alderman James Vos visit SEED Abundance Centre.

Kukhula Global Projects works with SEED Abundance Centre in collaboration with our Mixed Farming Systems NQF2 Qualification, our learners gain practical exposure where they teach youth how to use plants to create homemade products like soaps, shampoo, conditioner, hair gel, healing salves and washing powder as well as breadmaking, creating household resilience and also products to sell in their own business. Making a difference for the community and for youth especially by creating an entrepreneurial mindset.

Their cafe uses all the grown plants in the farm/garden that creates a feeding scheme for the primary school. By learning skills to be sustainable entrepreneurs they are creating jobs and contributing positively to the South African economy.
